About

The Rusted Bucket Project began as a container garden business. It was a glorious 3 year “project” that has now metamorphosed into a blog about every possible thing that moves me. By “move” I mean physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally.

I’ve named it “A Shiny Girl’s Blog from the rusted bucket project”.

I have an interesting life filled with love and adventure. I’ve worked as a beautician, bartender, waitress, vet tech, stall cleaner, Burger-King drive thru professional, retired Navy intelligence specialist and operations specialist, horse handler for a hippotherapy practice, garden center employee and gardener, just to name a few. I’ve lived in NC, FL, MD, VA, TN, NE, MN, KS, PA, and Spain.

Taurus, Enneagram 9, rule follower, conflict avoider, funny as hell if you ask me, nature loving, “shiny girl”.

By shiny I mean easily distracted. And it doesn’t have to be a shiny object. It could be a goat, flower, song, sunlight reflecting on water or cornbread with a lot of butter.

Currently I’m working on building a new life back home in NC.

The thing that scares me the most is becoming bitter and resentful.

To avoid that outcome, I will always try to be interested in fresh, intoxicating, people and ideas.

And I’ll surround myself with people that inspire me.
